The capital of dev bhoomi Uttrakhand is "Dehradun" which is fully blended with hill culture and also known as valley of flowers. Dehradun is basically made up of two words Dera and Dun, where Dera means Camp and Dun stands for Valley. Dehradun is also known as the gateway to Mussoorie and Garhwal region. It also one of best hill station in north India. There are some famous educational institutions also. Dehradun is also a base for trekking and adventure tourism.
